Howie and Flurry
Size: Small
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Howie and Flurry came into the rescue as their family developed severe allergies to the boys and wanted to be sure they found a good home for them.
These boys are approx. 3 years old and must be adopted together as they're best buds. They are very friendly and personable boys and would love to go to a home where they can have lots of floor time and attention paid to them.
Howie and Flurry have just come into the rescue, so more updates on their personalities will follow shortly.
Amy
Size: Small
Age: Young
Gender: Female
Amy is an approximately 6 month old Peruvian guinea pig who was found wandering a golf course! Someone had obviously let the poor thing go, thinking she would survive on her own.
She was brought to the shelter extremely emaciated as it's impossible for pet guinea pigs to find adequate food and shelter in the "wild".
Once Amy was provided with proper nutrition, she quickly put on weight and her personality really shone. She is a very outgoing, friendly guinea pig who will thrive on the attention of her owners.
Amy would do very well with other guinea pigs and would love a home with people who can spend lots of time entertaining her.
Bruce
Size: Small
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Bruce is an adult male American guinea pig who was recently rescued from a shelter where his time had run out.
He was originally brought to the shelter with his female cagemate, who had recently given birth. He is a very shy little guy, but is very sweet and has shown an interest in people. He just needs a little time and patience to show him that people aren't all bad.
Shy guinea pigs like Bruce often find comfort and security in the company of other guinea pigs, so we hope to find him a quiet, adult home with a buddy very soon.
Blossom
Size: Small
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
My name is Blossom and I have a very sad story to tell. Me and another bunny were found abandoned in a conservation area, left there to fend for ourselves and become victims of predators. We were rescued by some ladies who took us in and took good care of us. I was extremely thin and malnourished, and had fly larvae living under my skin under my jaw. A kind vet immediately took care of me and boy do I feel better now!
As a result of the surgical excision of the larvae, I have scars on the side of my face, but as you can see from my pictures, I’m still a beauty. I’m perfect with my litter habits, and am a very tidy and tiny little girl, weighing in at 1.3kg. I am so excited to have lots of food now and to not have to live outside in the cold. I especially love my timothy hay and get excited when it’s time for a treat of sliced apple or banana.
My friend and I do not show any signs of being bonded, and will be adopted as single bunnies. I do not show any signs of aggression towards any of the male bunnies in my foster home, so foster mommy thinks I would bond very well to a neutered male bunny.
I have been spayed and all of my medical records will be available for my new home. I also had a full dental exam complete with x-rays and my teeth are in great shape. Foster mom says that I’m the sweetest most gentle little girl ever, and everyone who meets me falls in love with me.
